TAKE TEN CASTING, although relatively new in the industry has already made its mark and is recommended by some of the top casting directors in Johannesburg. In the last 3 years ,it has landed over 600 featured jobs. It is a unique casting agency because 90% its artistes between the ages of 5- 18 years attend the internationally acclaimed Helen O'Grady Drama Academy in Johannesburg. The programme incorporates the development of self confidence, presentation and performance skills. We have enjoyed success nationally and internationally with clients including the BBC, SABC, Z-HQ, and NBC. This year only we have had featured roles in local TV series including Soul City, Muhvango and extras in Generations. The international film "The Machine Gun Preacher" due to be released in 2011 features many of our kids and we have a child lead role in the new BBC series Wild At Heart.
The director of TAKE TEN Casting, Anita Hollis and her brother Andy Serkis, patron of the agency have been involved in the acting industry for over 20 years. Andy Serkis is best known for his physical performances as Gollum in Lord of the Rings and King Kong. Anita has been a principal for the Helen O 'Grady Drama Academy in London, UK and Johannesburg for 13 years. TAKE TEN Casting prides itself in its caring and highly professional level of service to both client and artiste, nationally and internationally. No job is too big or too small and we can supply artistes from extras to lead characters for TV and print commercials, films and catalogues.
